THE ART AND CRAFT OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Snow-covered shoreline with an abandoned building in the foreground. The sky is clear with numerous stars visible, and the water reflects the twilight colors.

The Bridgewater Photographic Society (BPS) was established in 1982 and became incorporated under the Societies Act in 1985. In 2024, BPS became a club member of the Canadian Association for Photographic Art (CAPA). This membership allows our club to more easily connect with photographers across Canada, gain national and international exposure through CAPA's magazine and newsletter, access certified judges, and participate in national competitions.

Our diverse membership includes photographers of all ages and skill levels, from aspiring beginners to seasoned professionals. Our photographic interests are also diverse – from landscapes to portraits, macro to astro, wildlife to wabi-sabi. What unites us is a shared passion for the art and craft of photography.
