Jostein was born and raised on the West Coast of Norway, and though he had a Polaroid camera as a child, his true photographic journey began much later.

His primary passion was portrait photography—whether in the studio, in natural settings, or on the street.

Capturing a person’s authentic self is both challenging and deeply rewarding.

If his photography can make someone feel proud, beautiful, validated, and create a lasting, meaningful memory, then all his efforts will have been worthwhile.

As a former president of the Bridgewater Photographic Society (BPS), he had the privilege of learning from and being inspired by many talented photographers.

This has opened his eyes to new genres, perspectives, and possibilities, enriching his photographic journey even further.
