Ward has demonstrated a creative vision and passion for photography for most of his adult life.

Many of his current photographs have evolved in new creative directions.

Ward’s portfolio includes images from Canada, the American Southwest and Northwest, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Iceland, Cuba and China.

Ward has won awards in national and international competitions including the Maple Leaf Award for achievements in the field of colour photography from the Colour Photographic Association of Canada. His work has been published in Photo Digest,National Geographic Traveler, INCO Triangle, National Geographic calendars, Canadian Geographic calendars, post cards, Canada Post stamps and various government publications.
